The new East Coast Dyes Mirage lacrosse head is a long anticipated, elite level offensive head that was designed by one of the biggest names in advanced stringing, East Coast Dyes. Why is the East Coast Dyes Mirage lacrosse head so hyped up? Lets take a look. Contrary to most people’s belief that East Coast Dyes is a proponent of mid-high pockets, the East Coast Dyes Mirage lacrosse head was specifically set up for middle to mid-low pocket placement. As our stringing gurus will tell you, that mid-low is the new favorite of on-the-run middies and certainly the go to for attack-man doing work from the GLE or the X. Looking at the sidewall and string hole setup, the arc of the curvature offsetting the head starts very early and down towards the throat. Basically the curve starts right where the pocket begins. The mold sports the East Coast Dyes crab right at the crux of the throat and we liked how the back of the throat was almost solid to prevent shaft rattle.
