The Muhlenberg men's lacrosse team set two school records and tied another in a 19-8 home win against Haverford. The Mules (8-4, 4-2) broke the mark for goals in a Centennial Conference game, set in a 16-7 win against McDaniel in 2018, and tied the record for largest margin of victory in a CC contest, set last year against Washington College (14-3). The Mules' 11 assists were their most ever in a CC game. With two games remaining in the regular season, the Mules are in a three-way tie for second place in the CC with Ursinus, who they have already beaten, and Gettysburg, who they play this Sunday. Four players recorded hat tricks for Muhlenberg, including junior James Dalimonte, whose four goals gave him 101 points for his career. He is the ninth Mule to reach the century mark. The eighth, graduate student Ethan Grossman, finished the game with seven points, one off his career high, to move into ninth place on the CC all-time scoring list with 243 career points. Junior Jack Kraemer and sophomore Wyatt Malia each finished with three goals and two assists, with Kraemer tying his career high for points and Malia setting his. The teams traded the first four goals of the game before Muhlenberg went on an 8-0 run, holding the Fords (5-8, 1-5) scoreless for more than 21 minutes. Grossman contributed to half the goals, bookending the run with two goals of his own and assisting sophomore Jack Taub and senior Matt Marrella on goals 62 seconds apart in the second quarter. Ahead 10-3 at the half, Muhlenberg put the game out of reach with seven third-quarter goals, including two by Dalimonte 46 seconds apart. Kraemer also scored a pair of goals in the third quarter. Senior longstick middie Maxwell Seeber, who had an outstanding game on defense, tying a career high with four caused turnovers, capped the Mule scoring by netting his fifth career goal with 10:45 left in the fourth. Taub also scored in the fourth quarter, giving him his first career multiple-goal game. Junior Max May made 12 saves in goal. Pictured above: sophomore Jack Quinn scored the Mules' first goal.
