Loyola University Maryland scored 12 of the first 13 goals in Thursday's Patriot League semifinal and never looked back, as the Greyhounds topped Colgate by a 17-6 final at Ridley Athletic Complex to advance to the conference's championship game for a seventh-consecutive season. Livy Rosenzweig led the way with four goals, four assists and six draw controls for Loyola (10-2) which won its 10th game in a row and will host either Army West Point or Lehigh in Saturday's final. Jillian Wilson added three goals while pacing the home side in both draws (7) and caused turnovers (4). Emily Wills and Elli Kluegel opened the scoring with unassisted strikes in the opening three minutes. After Eliza Soutter got the Raiders (5-6) on the scoreboard 4:01 into the contest, a Catie Corolla goal began a 9-0 run for Loyola over the next 20+ minutes to put the game out of reach early. Corolla, Kluegel and Caitlyn Gunn all scored twice in the victory, while Sydni Black, Liz Scott and Alanna Wray added solo tallies. Kaitlyn Larsson made seven saves with a .538 save percentage while playing the first 51:01 in goal. With her eight points this afternoon, Rosenzweig inched closer to becoming both the Loyola leader in career points and the Patriot League leader in career assists. The two-time Tewaaraton Award Top-25 Semifinalist is now at 314 career points (139 G, 175 A). She needs four points to pass former teammate Hannah Powers for the program record and three assists to move ahead of Navy's Kelly Larkin for the Patriot League mark. The Greyhounds committed a season-low 10 turnovers on the afternoon, and they led the visitors in both ground balls (14-9) and draw controls (14-10). Kluegel picked up a game-high four ground balls, and she also caused a pair of turnovers while extending her goal-scoring streak to 10 games. Anna Ruby set up Wray's goal to close out the scoring with 46 seconds remaining, registering her first collegiate assist in the process. Loyola is now 11-2 all-time in Patriot League tournament play. The Greyhounds will be looking for a fifth Patriot League championship on Saturday, having previously won the postseason tournament from 2014-16 and during the most-recent edition in 2019. Saturday's final is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. on CBS Sports Network.
