LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Allegra Catalano and Nicole Perroni scored four goals each as University of Louisville women's lacrosse rolled to an 18-7 win over Central Michigan on Sunday at UofL Lacrosse Stadium. With the win, the Cardinals even their record at 2-2, while the Chippewas fall to 0-2. Hannah Morris scored twice in the first six minutes and then Kokoro Nakazawa, Catalano, Caroline Blalock and Perroni got on the board as the Cardinals jumped out to a 6-1 lead for the second game in a row. Twice Central Michigan trimmed the lead to three goals, but Louisville went into halftime with a 13-4 advantage. Coming out of the locker room, the Cardinals scored the first four goals to extend their lead to 17-4 and cruised to the 18-7 win. Perroni scored her four goals on just five shots and added two assists. Catalano had four goals on seven shots and finished with two ground balls. Morris, Caroline Blalock and Nakazawa all had multi-goal games for the Cardinals. Louisville outshot Central Michigan, 35-21, and had 25 shots on goal to the Chippewas' 14. The Cardinals won the draw control battle, 18-11. It marks the fourth straight game that Louisville has won the draw. Madi McKee finished with a game-high 13 draws, which is tied for the sixth most in program history. It is the most in school history for a player not named Kaylin Morissette. Louisville returns to action next Saturday at 12 p.m. ET when they open Atlantic Coast Conference play by hosting Virginia Tech.
