To determine the 2017 Ohio Lacrosse Division One State Champion, the Archbishop Moeller Crusaders took on the Saint Ignatius Wildcats at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH. It was the second straight season that Saint Ignatius was in the title game while Moeller looked to run its end of the season win streak to nine games. The game was a back and forth affair that saw both teams take and relinquish leads and ultimately, needed two overtimes to determine a winner. It was during the second OT when Moeller junior midfielder Logan Dieball buried the game winner, giving the Crusaders a 9-8 win.
