To open the 2017 college lacrosse season, the Delaware Blue Hens men's lacrosse team hosted the Bucknell Bison at Delaware Stadium in Newark, DE. In an affair that saw the Blue Hens jump out to a five goal lead in the third quarter, Bucknell would storm back late, outscoring the Blue Hens in the forth to capture a late 14-13 win. The Bison were led by junior midfielder Sean O'Brien, who had game high six goals, including three during the Bison fourth quarter comeback. Delaware was paced by six points from freshman Charlie Kitchen in the loss.
