The battle for the 2017 US Lacrosse LA/OC championship was held at Palos Verdes HS and featured the Foothill High School boy's lacrosse team taking on the Loyola Los Angeles Cubs. After winning the 2017 Orange County title, Foothill looked to continue its impressive post season run while Loyola look to capture its second straight Southern Section CIF title. Lead by Maryland bound senior Ryder Mora's five goals and goals Joe Theuer, The Cubs proved to much for the Knights as they rolled to a 13-4 victory.
