Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership

Jul 25, 2016
Harlem Lacrosse and Leadership (HLL) is a unique after school program that encourages middle school athletes in urban schools in Harlem, NY, Baltimore, MD, and Boston, MA, to be great students, athletes, peers, and community members. At each school site, HLL places a full-time program director who is tasked with coaching middle school lacrosse and using their role in the school as coach and mentor to improve participant's academic performance and help them connect the unique lessons that team sports each with their work and interactions in the classroom. Since 2011, HLL students have maintained a on-time middle school graduation rate, passed their core classes at a 20% higher rate than their peers, and earned over $15 million in scholarship offers to independent schools and colleges. By supporting HLL's online store, you are supporting the 450 students at 11 programs as well as their national expansion efforts into Baltimore, Boston and Philadelphia.
