In a matchup featuring two teams looking to capture their first state title in program history, the Islip Buccaneers boys lacrosse team took on the Westhill Warriors at St. John Fisher College in upstate NY. Led by six goals from senior midfielder Mike Bienkowski and a stout defensive effort, Islip rolled to a 9-3 win over Westhill for its first triple crown, winning states and both the county and Long Island championships.
