In 2013, the MAAC was a conference that proved that any team has a chance to make it when the fourth seeded Detroit Titans tore through the MAAC Championships to clinch a spot in the 2013 NCAA Tournament. For 2014, the MAAC loses two teams in Jacksonville and VMI, but welcomes in Quinnipiac from the NEC and Monmouth, one of Division One's newest programs.
