|NEW CANAAN, Conn.- Freshman Ben Grinnell scored four goals and recorded an
assist as the Dartmouth men's lacrosse team opened the season with an 11-4 win
over Colgate Saturday afternoon in New Canaan, Conn.
Playing 20 minutes from his hometown of Waccabuc, N.Y. Grinnel scored
early and often as the Big Green netted four goals in the first ten minutes of
the game. Senior Connor Price netted three goals and two assists, while
sophomore Tom Daniels tallied a goal and three assists.Junior Casey Burlage
added a goal and an assist, while juniors Scott Rosyln and David Faber tallied
goals for the Big Green.
Junior Mike Gault played well in goal, stopping 14 shots, five of which
came in the fourth quarter as the Raiders attempted to mount a comeback.
Dartmouth is back in action on Wednesday, March 6 when it hosts
Quinnipiac at 2:00 pm.
