SUMMARY: The senior accountant will serve as the team lead supporting the operations and accounting function execution and oversight at LAX.COM. This role will supervise one part time employee. The selected individual will be a part of the management team.


  • Coordinate month end close and reporting to department heads
  • Prepare month end accruals
  • Manage Bi-weekly Payroll
  • Calculate Sales Commissions and analyses of rep performance on monthly basis
  • Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Department
  • Prepare P&Ls 
  • Prepare Balance Sheet analyses
  • Present financial information at monthly division meetings
  • Prepare and analyze budget reporting monthly
  • Review and analyze expense accounts as required
  • Manage ecommerce capture and billing functions

Cash Management

  • Plan and manage short and long term cash plans
  • Manage daily bank balances and activity
  • Initiate ACH payments and  review prepared bank reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Review Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable aging on a monthly basis

Sales Tax and Other Government Reporting

  • Manage monthly Sales Tax Returns for all applicable jurisdictions
  • Coordinate all tax with current outside firm

Other Activities

  • Implement accounting controls and best practices
  • Coordinate Financial Statement review and tax returns by outside CPA
  • Prepare Income and Expense Reports 
  • Set Up New Accounts in General Ledger
  • Provide training of team members
  • Supervise one part time employee
  • An ability to maintain and promote a safe working environment
  • Other projects as assigned


  • BS in Accounting required
  • 5+ years of previous experience as Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager required
  • CPA preferred 
  • Netsuite ERP experience preferred
  • Salesforce Sales Cloud and Salesforce Commerce Cloud Experience Recommended. Strong organization skills are required
  • Detail orientation is  required
  • Strong leadership skills are required
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
  • Strong work ethic is required
  • Proficiency in Excel is required

FREELANCE SPORTS WRITER/REPORTER - Interested candidates should email a resume and a work sample(s) to the Content and Social Media Manager, Michael Barrett, at, the webs leading lacrosse retailer and content provider, is looking for freelance writers to cover lacrosse events throughout the country for the remainder of 2020 and into the 2021 season.  The candidates will work closely with our content manager and events team to provide unique content to be used on and our social media channels. Ultimately, you should be able to deliver good quality content that will captivate and engage our core audience. 


  • Write a 500-600 word articles surrounding lacrosse recruiting events, showcases, and tournaments
  • Perform research on any event before attending
  • Interview Coaches and Athletes in attendance
  • Submit article no more than 24 hours after the events completion
  • Provide photos for social media 


  • Strong Written and Verbal Skills
  • Experience covering sports in a collegiate or professional setting
  • Computer Proficiency (MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Photography skills are preferred but not necessary 
  • Lacrosse knowledge is strongly preferred but not necessary 


  • BS in Journalism or Communications/current college student in that area of study
  • Ability to travel (i.e with 60 - 90 minutes)
  • Must be able to work weekends
