Hartford vs. Holy Cross

The Game Story:
West Hartford, CT - Senior Brian LaMastro became Hartford's all-time leading scorer as the University of Hartford (3-3) lacrosse team improved to 3-3 on the season with a 19-8 win over Holy Cross (0-6) in West Hartford on Wednesday night. LaMastro finished the game with five goals and four assists as he passed former teammate Tracey Keluskey with 217 career points in just 51 career games.

The Hawks sprinted out to a 6-0 lead at the end of the first quarter. LaMastro broke the school record with his second goal of the game with 7:01 remaining in the first quarter. The Hawks led 13-2 at the half and outshot the Crusaders 23 to 10 in the first half.

Hartford was led by junior Travis Eckler who had four goals and four assists. LaMastro added five goals and four assists. Junior Rorke Greene recorded his third win of the season with six saves and allowing just four goals in 45 minutes of action.

Holy Cross was led by Mike McKee who had three goals and two assists for a career-high five points. Brian Taylor added three goals for the Crusaders.

Hartford will be in action again on Saturday, March 30 when they travel to Dartmouth for a non-league game beginning at 1 p.m.
