Ė Sophomore Garret Kerr (Inglewood, Ontario) scored a team-high four goals, including the game-winner, as the Quinnipiac menís lacrosse team cruised past Wagner, 14-4, in the season-opener for both teams, Saturday afternoon at the Quinnipiac Field Hockey/Lacrosse Field. A.J. Alessi (Branford, Conn.) and Bill Hayes (Merrimac, Mass.) also scored multiple goals with three and two, respectively.

Quinnipiac took a 4-0 lead by the 14:25 mark of the second quarter on goals by Dimond, Endicott, Alessi, and Hayes. After a Will Macumber goal for Wagner made it 4-1, Kerr scored the final difference-maker with one second left in the second quarter.

Quinnipiac scored all three goals of the third quarter, including a pair created by Messina, to take a commanding, 8-1 lead, before things got chippy in the fourth. A combined 13 penalties were called on the two teams, including 10 on Quinnipiac.
