| MEN’S LACROSSE: NO. 1 LE MOYNE WINS 53RD CONSECUTIVE NORTHEAST-10 CONFERENCE GAME, 10-1 OVER NO. 8 BENTLEY SOLVAY, N.Y. – Junior Jason Longo (Cazenovia, N.Y./Cazenovia) scored three goals and freshman Mike McDonald (Latham, N.Y./Shaker) had a hand in five scores as No. 1 Le Moyne topped No. 8 Bentley 10-1 in a Northeast-10 Conference men’s lacrosse game at Solvay High School. The defending national champion Dolphins (3-0, 3-0 Northeast-10) have opened the season with three consecutive Northeast-10 Conference wins to move their consecutive win streak to 53 straight. Senior Brandon Spillett (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) scored the only two goals the Dolphins would need, in the first four minutes of the contest. He put Le Moyne up 1-0 51 seconds into the contest and 2-0 with 11:16 remaining in the opening quarter. McDonald and freshman midfielder Chris Hand (Lisle, N.Y./Whitney Point) tacked on goals as the Dolphins took a 4-0 lead after one quarter. Bentley netted its only goal of the game early in the second quarter. Ryan Bouchey (Troy, N.Y./LaSalle) finished off a feed from Nick Slotje (Ithaca, N.Y./Ithaca) to make it 4-1. Le Moyne scored the next six goals to close out the Falcons. The Dolphins outshot their visitors 32-13 and doubled up the Falcons in the ground ball category 20-10. Le Moyne’s game for Monday has been moved. The Dolphins will host Saint Michael’s on Monday at 1 p.m. at Solvay High School.
