| Manchester, N.H. - Senior Jeff Sanford (Syracuse,
N.Y./Jamesville-Dewitt) scored five goals and assisted on two more to
lead No. 3 Le Moyne to a 24-2 win at Saint Anselm. The Dolphins (7-2,
6-0 Northeast-10 Conference) have won 26 consecutive conference games.
Le Moyne jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the opening quarter and put eight more goals on the board in the second quarter to take a 12-0 at halftime. The Hawks (4-3, 2-2 Northeast-10) did not get on the board until the 6:33 mark of the fourth quarter. Sanford's five goals led Dolphins. Sophomore Corey Sullivan (LaFayette, N.Y./LaFayette) paced Le Moyne with seven points on two goals and five assists, while Brent Disinski (Columbus, Ga./Horseheads) and Jason Brown (Watertown, N.Y./Watertown) chipped in three goals apiece. The Le Moyne defense held its fourth consecutive opponent under five goals. The Dolphins did not allow Saint Anselm an extra-man goal in seven tries. The Dolphins return home for a Saturday test against Pace at 3 p.m. |
