|LEWISTON, Maine - Mike Hasenauer (Weston, Conn.) scored both of his goals in the fourth
quarter to lead Connecticut College to a 6-5 win over Bates College in a New England Small
College Athletic Conference men?s lacrosse game Sunday afternoon at the AstroTurf Field.
Hasenauer broke a four-all tie in the fourth quarter when he tickled the twine off a John
Haberland (Simsbury, Conn.) feed with 9:50 to go in regulation and just over three minutes later
converted a Dave Schwartz (East Dix Hills, N.Y.) pass for the game winner. Dan Hawxhurst
(Huntington Station, N.Y.) added two goals for Connecticut College (5-2, 3-2 NESCAC) while
Kevin Burke (Beverly, Mass.) and Schwartz both tallied two assists. Topher Grossman
(Villanova, Pa.) recorded 15 saves for the Camels.
Brad Frost (Winchester, Mass.) found the goal twice for Bates (5-7, 1-5). Mark Dobbyn
(Warren, R.I.) recorded 12 saves on the afternoon. Scott Duddy (Concord, N.H.) drew first
blood for the Bobcats, netting a goal off a Ben Clements (Ligonier, Pa.) feed with 7:12 to go in
the first quarter. Jeff Critchlow (Carlisle, Mass.) tied the game at three after he scored off a
pass from Dan Ross (Chevy Chase, Md.). The Bobcats took a 4-3 lead when Frost scooped up
a loose ball and chucked the ball home with 2:39 left in the third quarter.
