|Madison, NJ -- The Drew University men^Òs lacrosse team dropped to 1-12 on
the season losing to the University of Scranton 13-8 Tuesday night in
Middle Atlantic Conference action. The Rangers got on the board first,
scoring at the 12:51 mark on a goal from junior Dave Ferruggia (Green
Brook, NJ) before Scranton^Òs Kyle Harbin (Wixon, MI) answered at 11:13 with
the first of six goals on the night. At 10:07 sophomore attacker Eric
Siegel (Culver City, CA) drilled one off a feed from senior attacker Nate
Matsui (Setauket, NY) to give Drew a 2-1 lead. That was as close as the
Rangers got, however, as the Royals (9-5) went on to score seven unanswered
goals, including two goals just nine seconds apart from Harbin. Matt
DeLuca (Ashland, MA) broke Scranton^Òs scoring frenzy connecting with 1:02
left in the half cutting the Rangers^Ò deficit to five goals (3-8).
Mendham^Òs Rob Loderstedt and Kyle Eaton (Old Bridge, NJ) each contributed
two goals for Scranton, while the Royals also received offensive power from
Bill Ayers (Croton-on-Hudson, NY), Tim Miller (Glen Cove, NY), and Jeff
Lange (Syracuse, NY).
Goalie Mike Litman (Ellicott City, MD) posted 18 saves in Drew^Òs effort.
