|Men's Lacrosse Upended by Richard Stockton, 13-7|
UNION, N.J. – Richard Stockton College sophomore attack James Kole (Montclair, N.J.) netted four goals and added an assist, and the Ospreys outscored Kean University 9-1 in the second half to cruise to a 13-7 victory on Saturday afternoon in Knickerbocker Lacrosse Conference men's action. With the victory, Richard Stockton improved to 5-3 overall, 3-2 in the conference, while the Cougars fell to 3-5 overall, 1-2 in the Knickerbocker.
In a close first two periods, the Cougars held a 6-4 advantage at halftime behind three goals from junior midfielder Simeon Etta (Newark, N.J.) and two goals from junior midfielder Rich Doherty (Millburn, N.J.).
After an Osprey goal two minutes into the third period, Etta scored his fourth goal of the game to give the Cougars a 7-5 lead with 8:15 remaining in the period. Richard Stockton controlled the rest of the game, as they scored four goals in the next four minutes, including a pair of goals from sophomore attack Anthony Severino (Edison, N.J.).
For the game, Severino finished with three goals and an assist, while senior attack Jim Dunn (Marlton, N.J.) added two goals and a game-high four assists for the Ospreys. For the Cougars, Etta finished with four goals and an assist, while freshman attack Robert Starr (Newark, N.J.) finished with one goal and one assist.
