The Game Story:
LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team defeated Greensboro College Tuesday 14-6, out shooting the Pride 60-27.

The Hornets (6-2) netted five unanswered goals in the first quarter and never looked back. They added five more in the second to go into the break with a 10-2 advantage. Greensboro outscored LC in the third period, 3-1, to pull to within six, but Lynchburg scored three more times in the fourth to capture the 14-6 victory.

Junior attack Brandon Childs (Baltimore, MD/St. Paul's) led the way for LC with three goals and an assist. Kevin Reinecke (Crofton, MD/Arundel) and Paul Venturella (Millersville, MD/Old Mill) each tallied two goals and one assist. Keeper Nick Braun (Midlothian, VA/Clover Hill) faced 26 Pride shots and had 10 saves on the day, while Paul Velte (Londonderry, VT/Vermont Academy), who came in for Braun late in the fourth period, turned away one shot.

For Greensboro (3-4), Matt Perry led the team in scoring with two goals, while Justin Severson had a goal with an assist. Goalkeeper Corey Reina made 21 stops.

The Hornets, ranked #17 in the latest DIII poll, will travel to Lexington, VA Saturday to face ODAC rival Washington and Lee at 1:30 p.m.
