The Game Story:
(Galloway, NJ) – Richard Stockton (7-8, 3-3 Skyline) scored 11 goals in the third quarter to break open a tie game and defeat Mount St. Mary (7-8, 2-4) 17-10 in the regular season finale. With the win, the Ospreys claimed the final spot in the Skyline Conference tournament by finishing one game ahead of the Knights. Vincent Manasia (Clark/Arthur L. Johnson) led Stockton with six goals while Nick Bologno (Glen Gardner/North Hunterdon) added three goals and two assists.

Stockton jumped out to a 3-1 lead in the first quarter on tallies by Bologno, Drew Wright (Wallingford, PA/Strath Haven) and Connor DeCicco (Catonsville, MD/Mount St. Joseph). Mount St. Mary reeled off three straights goals in a six-minute span of the second quarter to briefly pull ahead 4-3. Bologno netted his second of the game 56 seconds later and the teams went to break tied 4-4.

Manasia starred in Stockton’s 11-goal onslaught during the third quarter. The freshman tossed in five of the Ospreys’ first seven markers of the period, with Wright and Eugene Isola (Monroe Twp./CBA) contributing one apiece. After Andrew Pullen halted a run of eight straight Stockton goals, Manasia and James O'Donnell (Mt. Laurel/Lenape) scored 59 seconds apart for a 13-5 lead. The Knights struck for the next two goals but Bologno and Alex Epifano (Marlton/Cherokee) answered for a 15-7 advantage.

The Ospreys were content to protect their big lead in the fourth quarter. Mount St. Mary outscored Stockton 3-2 in the period, with Guy Loggi (Somers Point/Mainland) and Tom Walsh (Rockaway/Morris Hills) hitting the net for the Ospreys as they coasted to the 17-10 win.

Wright finished with two goals and two assists while Cal Sebor (Freehold/Freehold Twp.) dished three helpers. Stockton goalkeeper Anthony Montalbano (Matawan/Old Bridge) made seven saves in three periods of work to earn the win. Pullen led Mount St. Mary with five goals and one assist followed by Nick Findlay with two goals and two assists.

Stockton earned the No. 4 seed for the Skyline Conference tournament with today’s win. The Ospreys will travel to No. 1 seed Montclair State for a semifinal round game on Wednesday.
