|Hartford, Conn. – Senior midfielder Chris Walsh (Newton, Mass.) and junior attacker Kris Tedeschi (Norwell, Mass.) both scored three goals to lead the Trinity College Bantams to a 15-4 victory over the visiting Wheaton College Lyons in men’s lacrosse action this afternoon at Jessee/Miller Field. Trinity improves to 4-1 overall, while the Lyons drop to 0-5 with their fifth loss in a row.|
Trinity maintained the lead the entire game, although only leading 2-1 in the first quarter. Junior midfielder Jeremy Ulan (Scarsdale, N.Y.) notched the first two goals of the game, but was quickly answered by Wheaton senior attacker Markus Ricci (Wayland, Mass.) who had his only goal with 6:59 left in the first quarter.
Wheaton did not score again until the fourth quarter, which gave Trinity 12 unanswered goals. Tedeschi, junior attacker Sam Slater (Lutherville, Md.), and senior captain Curtis Kahn (Cohasset, Mass.) all had goals before the half to give Trinity a 6-1 lead.
In the third quarter, Walsh had three goals and Tedeschi, Slater, and freshman midfielder Harper Cullen (Rehoboth Beach, Del.) and sophomore attacker Rob Mountain (New Canaan, Conn.) recorded a goal apiece.
Wheaton’s strongest quarter came in the 4th where they notched 3 goals. Freshman attacker Tim Horan (Cheshire, Conn.)/, junior midfielder Richie Rasamny (Redding, Conn.), and freshman attacker Conor Whitney (West Hartford, Conn.) each scored for the Lyons. Trinity sophomore goalkeeper Alex Palma (Chappaqua, N.Y.) made four saves, while Wheaton freshman keeper Schuyler Horn (New Hartford, Conn.) had three saves.
