The Game Story:
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team won their season-opener on Sunday afternoon, 12-8 at Williams College. The game marked the first in the history of Renzie Lamb Artificial Field in Williamstown and was originally scheduled for Saturday afternoon.

Bowdoin jumped out to a 4-1 lead by the end of the 1st quarter on two goals apiece from Connor Fitzgerald and Kevin Mullins. Jeff Wilbur tallied the first score of the day for the Ephs midway through the 1st quarter, but it would be another 10 minutes before Williams would find the back of the net again. Bowdoin would extend their lead to 8-2 in the 2nd quarter before leading 8-4 at intermission.

For Bowdoin, Ford Barker, Connor Fitzgerald, and Kevin Mullins all contributed two goals. The Polar Bears won the ground ball war 29-37 and enjoyed a majority of the possession time.

Charlie Legg was a strong presence in goal for Bowdoin, making 12 saves on the day. Bowdoin will return to action in Florida next week when they play St. Lawrence on Thursday afternoon in Orlando.
