The St. John Fisher College men's lacrosse team earned a 13-10 win over Endicott College on Friday at Fisher's Growney Stadium in the Flower City Cup Coaches vs. Cancer Lacrosse Showcase.

Jeff Wester led the Cardinals with a career-high seven points on four goals and three assists.

Michael Boisvert finished with four points on three goals and one assist. Junior Brett Farrell added two goals and one assist, while Greg Ramsden also scored twice.

Kevin DeOrdio and Nick Rossi also scored, while Brian Cole and Jacob Aldrich each assisted on goals.

Fisher never trailed in the game, but Endicott stayed with the Cardinals throughout the contest. The two teams exchanged goals during the first quarter and were tied at 3-3 after the first quarter.

Fisher scored the first two of the second quarter, but the Gulls again came back and tied the game at 5-5 with 3:27 left in the half.

With the game tied at 5-5 late in the first half, Fisher scored two goals in a 43-second span to take a 7-5 advantage at the break. Boisvert scored off a nice pass from Farrell, while Ramsden rocketed a shot from the left side into the upper right corner moments later.

Fisher pushed its lead to three goals 48 seconds into the third quarter on a goal from Wester. The Gulls made it 8-7, but Fisher responded with the next two goals – one from Boisvert and one from DeOrdio.

Endicott pulled to within two goals at 12-10 with 7:58 left in the game, but Fisher did an outstanding job of keeping possession late in the game and allowed the Gulls to take just one shot in the final seven minutes.

Ryan Freije won 11-of-24 faceoffs, while Scott Campbell led Fisher with seven ground balls. Goalie Jamie Campagna stopped 11 shots to earn the win in goal.

Fisher will return to action at 12 p.m. on Sunday and will host Roger Williams University.
