| SEWANEE - It was a rainy afternoon in Sewanee, and after a long rain delay, the Tigers dropped the men's lacrosse contest against Greensboro 14-10. After trailing 6-1 at one point in the first half, Sewanee rallied, narrowing the lead to three for a 9-6 halftime tally in favor of the Pride. In the second half, Sewanee kept it close, pulling to within one goal on two different occasions. The Pride pulled away, though, and got the four goal win over Sewanee, which is in its debut year of varsity lacrosse. Houston native Neat Clark led Sewanee with four goals. Chris Edge (Chestertown, Md.) chipped in two goals. Stewart Calder (New Canaan, Conn.) picked up 11 saves in the goal. For Greensboro, Mike Foderaro had 10 saves. Offensively, Greensboro junior Neal McKinney had four goals. Sewanee is now 1-3 and will host Guilford and Oberlin next weekend. |
