This is an advanced pad designed for maximum range of motion and elite level college, high school and club players. The low profile is barley noticeable under a jersey. This pad is premium priced at the upper end of the liner and shoulder spectrum for those that want the lowest profile and maximum range of motion.

It probably doesn't really matter because if you get hit in the spine with any should pads it's gonna hurt.

I tried these on at Dick's Sporting Goods. Let me just say that these are quite possibly the most flexible and low profile shoulder pads I've ever worn. These may look they aren't very protective but the black parts are rock hard, while still insanely flexible. GET THEM!
