im pretty sure there are good and bad batches of this head, my first wizard broke after 2 days but my second has lasted for more than a year and half and it's still really stiff and feels like i bought it only yesterday.

gait rly only makes good shafts from what ive heardevry1 keeps aasking about a d head id go wit the evo2.0 any of the evo series actuly or the revo all rly stiff heads

This head is do stupid. When ur sleeping it comes alive and use its wizard powers to comite suicide in ur games. Get it and i sware you will wake up under water with no clothes on.

Would you recommend the Wizzard or the Brine Edge for D and/or LSM? Why? I have a Wizzard. I like it a lot. It's good but not great for carrying tho.

for it's price this is a great head it's really stiff for all of you that like to throw poke checks, this head is really durable(unless someone hits this head with a hammer on the inner sidewall i doubt this will break, the fins on the inner sidewall help narrow the head but if struck with alot of force the fins can act as nails to split the plastic. It's a little tough to string but once u get it down it can have alot of hold.

Is this the best head for defense? If not then what is?

i bought mine and got it in the mail YESTURDAY and tonight i had a game and like 6 min into the game i checked some kid as he was shooting and it broke..... IN 23 PLACES

this head lasted less than 2 quarters into our first game of the season. and i only played with it for 1 practice beforehand so i'm pissed. i counted and there are at least 10 or 11 separate cracks all over it from one check

I have only broken 1 of these heads, it was from a shot blosk that hit the inner sidewall it broke in only two places on impact but when one spot is broken it makes the whole thing alot weaker making it easy to break in other places after the impact

super stiff and durable. throws nice, hard checks. wide channel for great pass reception. scoop is a bit weird though. took a little while to get used to, but the best head out there for defense in my opinion. low price too.

during the warm ups before a game the thing snapped right down the center of the scoop!! grrrrr

yeah they need to re-think the scoop a lot

If you do a lot of face-offs you want a fogo or a stiffi but I would get the fo-go for face-offs this is more of a box head.

Just to clear up somethings i will be using it for defence.

I don't like any soft meshes that much, except for the brine ultra mesh which turns soft really fast. My friend has this head but he has hard mesh, it's really just personal preference on what kind of mesh you like the feel of, the head won't affect the mesh.

the brine edge x is probably one of the best d-heads on the market mainly because of it is hardness (that's what she said hehehehe)

if ur getting an edge x try to find an original edge somewhere...its a lot better but the wizard is BEASTLY

I have the revo 2.0 and I bent it in a fall ball game. I only had it like 3 months

mate take my world for it the wizard is good 4 Ds cos it has better batter ball control and sidewall strength and its quick and easy to re-string if u need 2 and then theirs the revo 2.0 just about the olny thing i like about it is poking people in the guts

If you play Defence, there is no better head. Everything about it is awesome. It's even easy to string.

if your an idiot and you string it right this head shoots awesome and is durable so you won't have to worry about it breaking and your shot will kill the goalie

this head is the SH*!. I like better thatn the Xcalibur and the revo pro. Its extremely durable

this is graet for d cuz its pretty much unbreakable. ive had mine since it came out. i would recommend putting it on a Dolomite

this thing is almost indestructable. very stiff. decent scoop. not very good on the offensive end so i would not recomend for LSM but if you play LSD go for it. this is what my college team is using for long poles

if you have a wonder boy xcel and you use this head it will make your stick really top heavy

dont get this on the exel or gravity it will make the stick topheavy

hey plz reply......i just got this new d-shaft and was wondering whether brand matters?? if not what brand would you recommend for me to put on this shaft??

you would have to drill a hole through the shaft before you cauld attach it. make the hole just a hair smaller than the screw will be and the screw will make its own hole.

i need to know whether the brand of the stick affects the brand of the head??? i just got this new d-shaft and none of my heads fit on it......does it really matter what brand of head though

At the end of last season my wizard was extremly flexible and the sidewall snapped. Don't get me wrong i loved the head while it lasted but i just baught a revo pro.

the triton is a sick head but the wizrd is better for D any day. the triton is more attack/middie based.

Wizard head is unbelievable, i have it on a kryptolyte d shaft. It is sick for the any checks, sooooo stiff.

THIS HEAD BROKE THE FIRST TIME I USED IT IT BROK AT THE BOTTOM SO IT WAS TOTALLY USELESS TO ME AFTER THAT NOT DURABLE AT ALL

i just broke mine durring a faceoff. if you are going to use this head in cold weather you need to warm it up about 30 min before your game or els it will snap like a twig. other than that i went through 2 seasons with it with no problems. great for hard painful checks. great for ground balls. this head will not snap easily.

My friend has a kryptolyte and a wizard and its a great combo i used it when my dpole broke

yea there not being made anymore, they are now making the Xcalibur. The X2 is nice though. i have one and have had it for a couple of years now. its a good head

Triton in my opinion is a killer D head, but the wizard is good too. If I had to go with one, I'd go with the wizard, just because its heavier. Heavier=your checks hurt more. The Triton is way light.

i play d and i use the wizard head, its sweet and the ball pick-up is tight. this is an awesome middie head too. the heads sidewalls are almost impossible to break. i would recommend this head over any other for a defenseman.

I have broken two wizards one the sidewall snaped from slap checks and the other it split from poke checks. It isn't a good head if you play alot of stick.

A friend of mine wants to go out 4 defense and I was wondering if this and an f-15 would be a good combo. Would the head wiggle around? If this isn't a good combo, what would be better?

i got this head and i play d, i put on a debeer titanium enhanced shaft and its an awesome combo. the heads weight is ballanced out by the shaft's lightness. The head ain't gonna break and neither will the shaft. and no the head doesn't wiggle...

the g-force is the best by far. gary gait designed it and he plays d so it only makes sence that it would be the best d head. The only thing that isn't good about the head is that it is heavy. This head is also grwat for attack, cuz it is pinched for unparreled accuracy. I have mine on a harrow i-beam, befor that i had it on a f-22,and even b 4 that i had it on a warrior c405, i had no problem at all with the g-force on any of those shafts. If you can find the old style g-force that is best for d or n e position, cuz it doesn't have rubber on the spikes. Which makes it awsome for slap checks.

put x2 on a f22 shaft 4 d. its sweet

i got both the x2 and the wizard and the wizard out performs the x2 in every aspect when playing d or middie. you want a head than can easily pick up balls on the fly and the wizard gives that to you. the x2 has really weak sidewalls too, i garantee that you won't break the wizard's sidewalls on the field.

hey i am positive iam going to buy this head but i don't realy know what stringing would be the best. i like my stringing to have an alright amount of whip and the pocket to be around the top. i play in fluctuating weather and well i was thinking tracker but know i am just thinking taditinal

some people say that trakker is better, but i couldnt get a pocket into the stuff. so i put in some monster meash and i was way better than the trakker

if i were you i'd either get the traditional or whipper string job. i got the traditional on my wizard and its sweet, the only thing is traditional stretches a lot and you might not want that because of the re-stringing. the whipper is a pretty sweet string job too, i put it on my x2 and it works nicely. your pick, just dont pick mesh...

Why wouldnt you get mesh? any specific reasons..just wondering?

Its no doubt the best head debeer makes the best. it throws good with any pocket.. i dont reccomend the trakker.

hey i play box lax and am looking for a new head ( my liquid borke for the 3rd time but the warrenty is up) and i was wondering what is a better all round midi or attack head the x2 or a wizard

out of allthe heads ive played against the hardest head to check the ball out of is the wizard...its crazy offset and good hold makes this head sick for all positions. i recomend it over the x2 plus x2 breaks easy.

your right about everything except that the x2 doesnt break easily. it probably has the same strenght as the wiz.

I owned an x2 which broke within one season. I just oredered this wizard with hopes that it will outlast the flimsy performance of the stx head. From what i've seen on the field from my team, the wizard is unbeatable for defense.

this stick is perfect fo scooping, stick checks passing, and doesn't have a bad shot either. I prefer traditional mesh but it's good with anything.i all this is the best head i've ever use for defence.

Wizard rulez! If you have an f-15, use a wizard, it fits on everything! Believe me, I would know because I have an f 15 d pole and a wizard, and it fits perfect. get the wizard!

I bought the wizard last season becouse I assumed it would be a really strong head. It worked out ok nothing special in the ball control or accuracy. but it broke in the first 3 games and after I recived my new one it broke just as fast. its not a bad hjead but there are better ones out there for a defender

I have both the X2 and the Wizzard. X2 is on an attack shaft and the Wizzard is on a D shaft. I like the soft mesh on the X2 better but the Wizzard with traditional is a God on the field. The X2 has better ball controll with the attack shaft but it has a little more flex which I personally dont care for. if you are a defender go with the wizzard, if attack or middi go with X2
