Seton Hill scored three times in the second and fourth periods in route to an 8-4 road win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday afternoon. The Griffins dominated the shot tally in the game as they out shot RWC 46-17 in the contest. SHU improves to 5-3 on the season while Roberts Wesleyan falls to 4-5. The Griffins got on the scoreboard first with a goal midway thru the first period from Sean Stanners. Earlier in the period the Griffins failed on a man up opportunity but finally took advantage of the large shot discrepancy with the goal from Stanners with 7:48 to go in the period. SHU held a 13-2 advantage in shots in the first period. John Hofseth increased the Griffins lead to 2-0 with a goal with just over eight minutes to play in the second period. Collin Mitchell pushed the lead to 3-0 with a goal from Jack Moran with just under five minutes to play in the first half. The Red Hawks were then able to take advantage of a SHU penalty with a man up goal to trim the Griffins lead to 3-1. Jack Miller scored just eight seconds before the halftime whistle to give the Griffins a 4-1 lead heading into the halftime break. Roberts Wesleyan scored the opening goal of the second half to cut the lead in half at 4-2 with 8:58 left in the third. Just over a minute later Moran extended the lead back to three off an assist from Adam Reimer. SHU carried that 5-2 lead into the fourth period. Just 1:16 into the fourth quarter, Reimer pushed the lead to 6-2 with a goal from Shane Pettke. The Red Hawks got the next two goals to cut the Griffins lead to 6-4 with just over eight minutes to play in the game. The Griffins were able to build upon their lead less that two minutes later when Reimer scored his second of the game. Riley Martin scored the final goal of the game with 2:36 left in the contest. Adam Reimer led the offense with 2 goals and 1 assist. Jack Moran finished with a goal and an assist. Merritt Bailey finished the contest with 9 saves. Bennett Johnson had a game high 8 shots. Sean Stanners finished with a goal on 6 shots. SHU was 20-20 in clears and just 0-1 in man up opportunities.
