Providence, R.I. 13th-ranked Brown will travel across town on Tuesday, April 14 for the 21st meeting with Providence College in an Ocean State Cup game at Ray Tracey Field. The Bears and Friars will be competing for the Ocean State Cup, along with Bryant, with the overall winner of the series among Rhode Island's Division I lacrosse teams being awarded the trophy. The Bears: #13 Brown (8-3, 2-2 Ivy) dropped a 16-10 decision at Yale on Saturday, despite five goals from Bears' attackman Dylan Molloy '17. The Friars: Providence (4-7) are coming off a 14-11 loss to Marquette on Saturday. The Friars have posted wins over Vermont (12-9), Boston U. (7-4), Sacred Heart (11-8) and UMass Lowell (11-6), while dropping games to Fairfield (10-6), Duke (20-8), Hofstra (15-4), Bryant (7-5), St. John's (17-7) and Georgetown (9-6). The Brown-PC Series Record: Brown and Providence have met 20 times, dating back to 1989, with the Bears holding a 20-0 series advantage over the Friars. Last year, Dylan Molloy '17 scored his third goal of the game with 2:13 left in the second overtime period as Brown rallied from a two goal fourth quarter deficit to earn a thrilling 12-11 come-from-behind win over the Friars.
