high paced offense

Princeton really struggles against high-paced teams (Towson, Cuse, etc.). It seems as though they have a hard time controlling the tempo of the game to their liking. They didn't want to do that yesterday, but it seems like from the numerous turnovers, GB, and fast breaks, they were almost forced to run with Towson, and they almost lost (Tierney should thank the refs). Towson plays great fast-break lacrosse, but not nearly as precise as Cuse. If the Tigers struggled with Towson, they will be crushed by Cuse.

An important factor is face-offs. Bailor and Drew the frosh couldn't buy a draw, save for 1 crucial one in the 4th. Cercy will dominate them, and those extra Cuse possesions will hurt the Tigers.

By the way, based on yesterday's games, Tierney looked really solid, and he's the frontrunner right now for the Tewaraaton in my opinion. Glatzel was shut down. Coffman didn't score much, but that was probably part of the gameplan. Shanahan was great this year, but was a non-factor against Cuse. Good year, but maybe not enough for the Tewaraaton. Let's just see what happens tomorrow against my two favorites: Coffman and Tierney.
