I'd agree with you about UMass being boring and ugly, but the lax team won't get cut soon. They cut 7 sports teams this year so they wouldn't have to hold back on the other sports. It was either that, or being mediocre on all the sports.

Does anyone have a money making men's lax team? Not sarcasm... just wondering. I'd imagine it's hard to make $$ off of lax, unless you have stellar attendance, or a TV deal.

And UMass still is a good school, and a good education. Sure, it may not have the presige of Harvard, or one of the other eastern "lap dog" schools, but it's affordable, and an important part of the Massachusetts community.
