 | Selection? by mulligan2313 (#13144) on 8/02/01 @6:06PM | | | | Couldn't we come up with a better meathod of choosing all americans? I mean Central Florida, South Florida and Georgia get 3 AA's each, while Monroe County, NY gets only 2, and the MIAA recives only 4. What this shows is the effort of US Lacrosse to please everyone with their AA's, not determine the best talent in the country. | | | | | Reply to this |

 | Sea-Town by luboswell (#14056) on 8/02/01 @9:47PM | | | | Where are the Washington AA's. We have 3 legitimate AA's who get no respect. They put Oregon on here but no Washington? Get your priorities straight!!! | | | | | Reply to this |

 | Georgia lax players by laxgoalie16 (#7244) on 8/02/01 @11:31PM | | | | I am a georgia lacrosse player and granted that the overall talent of georgia may not compare to NY, Baltimore and other hotbeds, we have some very good players that deserve AA status. Lacrosse in georgia is growing at a tremendous rate. My school didnt have a team until 2 years ago and many other schools are getting teams together for the coming season. So, its good that georgia lacrosse it getting recognized and u never know, maybe georgia will be as good in overall talent as NY or Baltiomore in the coming years. | | | | | Reply to this |

 | (no subject) by LaxBeast04 (#4634) on 8/03/01 @12:50AM | | | | Ya there is about 50 All Americans from NY, i counted, but there are some badass lax players comin out of new york. But they shouldnt have 50 in ny and 4 or 5 in like delaware and ohio. And people shoudlnt be talkin about lax.com bad, this is the only lacrosse website i go to and it the only one i need to go to, it has the best prices, scores for every league, and has scores and highlights from every tournament like vail and gettysburg, u should be giving them credit for what they do for u and other lacrosse players and fanatics, it has everything, and i know they put a lot of effort to get u all of this | | | | | Reply to this |

 | I am an elitist by jimminycrickers (#5100) on 8/03/01 @1:31PM | | | | Before you say anything, let it be known that I am a huge lacrosse snob/elitist. I KNOW the best lacrosse is played in Maryland and New York. From those two areas, you get the kids who know the entire game, not just the 90-mile an hour crank shot, one-dimensional players.
HOWEVER, since this is a list of All-American INDIVIDUALS, I have no problem recognizing two or three outstanding athletes from Georgia. This is not about which state's high schools are the most dominant (speaking of which, how 'bout the score of the Free State Games?)--that has been settled. This is about recognizing individual lacrosse players. Remember, there was a kid from St. Louis who had two for 'Cuse in the championship--and that's a team that used to be 100% NY.
As my high school coach said before we played Colorado Academy when they came East for their spring break: respect these guys, because you will end up on a college team with at least one guy from Colorado. He was right, I played with two guys from Colorado. However, we still kicked their asses in that HS game. Lacrosse is growing, deal with it. But it'll be another few years before anyone can even lay claim to being as good overall as MD/NY. | | | | | Reply to this |

 | michigan all americans by debeerlaxer9 (#8370) on 8/03/01 @5:45PM | | | | first of all how did bill binge get that award? I personally tore him apart at peak..he was no all american, I saw the others nominated Brian anderson is a solid defenseman..matt gabbard was stacked on points this year at attack how did these get picked and why..granted kenney and mueller and baker deserved it but binge and rinehart did not deserve it at all | | | | | Reply to this |

 | Why didnt lax.com have this when it was out? by IC-bomber (#10386) on 8/06/01 @10:48AM | | | | This list was out in June, I dont know why its comming out now, anyway if eastern mass gets 15, syracuse should get 15, that hingham guy wasnt even that good and the needham kid got abused and pushed around in the playoff games, hes like 140 pounds, and when he got shut off did nothing. The duxbury and l-s kids were legit, but this system is a little riduclus | | | | | Reply to this |

 | West Virginia? by chrisfx (#12323) on 8/06/01 @9:39PM | | | | Hey, what is up with thier never being any WV AA's? We do have some great players here, we are in the western pensylvania league and sometimes tear up on the PA teams. | | | | | Reply to this |

 | Yorktown by g-murda (#8966) on 8/10/01 @3:35PM | | | | Yorktown's entire starting attack and half their D are AA's. I mean they have churned out an unbelievable amount of great players, but spread the love throughout the HV. Oh yeah Kyle G. is wack, and if only his father didn't know so many people in the game. | | | | | Reply to this |

 | MIAA deserves better by Laxer24 (#10136) on 8/12/01 @11:33PM | | | | i have to say that i think it is ridiculous there are only 4 miaa players who are AAs. the level of play in that league can easily be compared to college programs and that is why so many go to D1 schools. if you want a comparison of how good these teams are compared to another well known team, consider boys latin beat Yorktown which has i think it was 4 AAs alone and Boys latin didnt even make it to the semis of the playoffs. im not saying in anyway that every MIaa player should be an AA but 4, come on, i think that is insane | | | | | Reply to this |
