I mean Central Florida, South Florida and Georgia get 3 AA's each, while Monroe County, NY gets only 2, and the MIAA recives only 4. Lacrosse in georgia is growing at a tremendous rate. My school didnt have a team until 2 years ago and many other schools are getting teams together for the coming season. So, its good that georgia lacrosse it getting recognized and u never know, maybe georgia will be as good in overall talent as NY or Baltiomore in the coming years. | | | | | Reply to this |

But they shouldnt have 50 in ny and 4 or 5 in like delaware and ohio. And people shoudlnt be talkin about lax.com bad, this is the only lacrosse website i go to and it the only one i need to go to, it has the best prices, scores for every league, and has scores and highlights from every tournament like vail and gettysburg, u should be giving them credit for what they do for u and other lacrosse players and fanatics, it has everything, and i know they put a lot of effort to get u all of this | | | | | Reply to this |

| I am an elitist
by jimminycrickers (#5100) on 8/03/01 @1:31PM | | | | Before you say anything, let it be known that I am a huge lacrosse snob/elitist. I KNOW the best lacrosse is played in Maryland and New York. From those two areas, you get the kids who know the entire game, not just the 90-mile an hour crank shot, one-dimensional players.
HOWEVER, since this is a list of All-American INDIVIDUALS, I have no problem recognizing two or three outstanding athletes from Georgia. This is not about which state's high schools are the most dominant (speaking of which, how 'bout the score of the Free State Games?)--that has been settled. This is about recognizing individual lacrosse players. Remember, there was a kid from St. Louis who had two for 'Cuse in the championship--and that's a team that used to be 100% NY.
As my high school coach said before we played Colorado Academy when they came East for their spring break: respect these guys, because you will end up on a college team with at least one guy from Colorado. He was right, I played with two guys from Colorado. However, we still kicked their asses in that HS game. Lacrosse is growing, deal with it. But it'll be another few years before anyone can even lay claim to being as good overall as MD/NY. | | | | | Reply to this |

| MIAA deserves better
by Laxer24 (#10136) on 8/12/01 @11:33PM | | | | i have to say that i think it is ridiculous there are only 4 miaa players who are AAs. the level of play in that league can easily be compared to college programs and that is why so many go to D1 schools. if you want a comparison of how good these teams are compared to another well known team, consider boys latin beat Yorktown which has i think it was 4 AAs alone and Boys latin didnt even make it to the semis of the playoffs. im not saying in anyway that every MIaa player should be an AA but 4, come on, i think that is insane | | | | | Reply to this |
