HS Game of the Week: Darien (CT) vs Wilton (CT)






LAX.COM caught the Connecticut Interscholastic Athletic Conference Championships this past weekend in Norwalk, CT, where Darien topped Wilton 17-11 for the Division M title.

Although they lost, Wilton's goalie looked pretty good. He had some really nice stops.

oh i agree he faced many difficult shots. i just didnt see him stop many of those door step shots. i saw like one stop.

no..i mean like the ones at 1:03, although he got screwed on the rebound, or 1:25. How about the one on ones at 1:53 or 3:16..

#4 for Darien is Case Matheis. Freshman attackman. First freshman to start for Darien in about 25 years.

kid put up 5 goals in a 13-14 loss to Manhasset earlier in the year.

I was at this game and not all of the best highlights were shown in this video. They leftout like 3 or 4 wilton goals and some other darien goals. The game was closer than the scoreboard showed. Darien scored like 3 empty net goals when Wilton was desperately trying to get the ball back at the end. Its great for these teams to receive a national audience (Online of course).

darien goalie has a wierd style always falling down to his knees like that, well its weird to me. Although looks like it works.
