Maverik Showtime Lacrosse National Recruiting Spotlight All Star Game

The Showtime Lacrosse National Recruiting Spotlight, presented by Maverik, held their All Star game last Wednesday night at Western Connecticut State College. Stand out rising sophomores and juniors from the camp earned the honor to play under the lights. Behind surprisingly strong team play for an All Star game, the Red team beat the White, 15-8.

there is no disputing that case matheis is the best player in the nation. he made some elite players look like jv backups. prime example his dodge from x where he blew by the kid effortlessly

Offense is one thing.....

Does ANY young lacrosse player today know how to properly play individual DEFENSE? Thats one area the game today is seriously lacking....from looking @ the video, NONE of those middies know the 1st thing about positioning, baiting, playing angles, etc. And the long-poles? christ if they havent figured it out already, going after a players stick is useless; you play the body and then the stick checks come with patience.

Instead of all these recruiting clinics you all go to today, most need an instructional camp and learn some defensive technique...then you'd all be COMPLETE players.

Not trying to rain on anyone's parade here, but why do you all think Notre Dame made it to the national championship this year? Watch that game and see how their guys play DEFENSE. They certainly werent the most talented on the offense end, but they made up for it with great D.
