Arguably the premiere recruiting event of the summer, Jake Reed held his Nike Blue Chip camp on UMBC's campus last week. The camp expanded this year to three three-day sessions, rising seniors, juniors, and sophomores, each loaded with more than 120 elite recruits. With five games in three days, the players showcase what they might bring to the table in college.
LAX.COM stopped into Nike Blue Chip for the rising senior session. We came back with some highlights.
you are dumb highland park the best school in texas for lax was ranked 18th on inside lacrosse top 25 schools in the country so im pretty sure texas isnt horrible and i think i saw one highland park guy in this vid
i would love to see u come down to texas and face teams like HP and Dallas Maverik! u would get killed. We (Dallas Maverik) just got back 2 week ago from baltimore and the high school team went undefeated and the 5/6 blue won also so......
The roster says there are 2 people from Texas at the Blue Chip. Nice try.
And summer tourneys don't count for shit. All these mid west, west coast, or southern teams come to out tourneys and think they are so good. They go all out, trying their hardest to win while our teams just try to have fun and get all the players in the game.
Everyone who thinks high school lac actually matters to people outside of the kids who play are retarded. Theres raw kids in probally at laest every state that can play at the division 1 level, so who cares which state has the best teams..
yeah lax is growing rapidly i played HS lax in MN last year and i dont think any great players are from MN, but just about every HS has a team now. I'm friends with some kids down in florida whos schools are getting school funded teams, so its growing rapidly
you southern boys can try all you want but the fact of the matter is only a select few of legit players come out of the non-traditional powerhouse states while places like LI cuse rochester even parts of maryland and mass pump out talent left and right.
CT schools would destroy the south and west. My summer team just played one of the west coast starz teams (ranked as top summer team in Inside lacrosse)and destroyed them. They are all overrated and like 21 year olds
