The inaugural season of Big East men's lacrosse concluded Saturday night when Villanova hosted Georgetown.

In a game of runs, the Hoyas got out early, just to see the Wildcats fight their way into the lead. But a big third quarter and some timely defense led Georgetown to victory, 15-9.

Just because Georgetown brought their all to 1 game- this was because they saw the light, of the playoffs, at the end of the tunnel fading into a distance- doesn't mean they should win a playoff birth. They should have brought this kind of play to every game this season. I believe they don't deserve to be in the playoffs if they cannot be consistantly that good.

i agree if Georgetown were consistent through the year then we could say they were cheated out of the playoffs but they didn't although the injuries didn't help them at all
