BOSTON, Mass. – Freshman Shannon Tuozzo scored a career-high two goals, as women's lacrosse fell to Boston University on the road, 22-4, on Sunday afternoon. The Hawks drop to 0-2 on the season while the Terriers improve to 2-1. BOSTON UNIVERSITY 22, HARTFORD 4 The Terriers struck eight times within the first nine minutes before Birdie Montes put Hartford on the board with a goal at the 21:11 mark. BU responded with five straight goals to take a commanding 13-1 lead into the break. Shannon Tuozzo gave Hartford its second goal of the game almost immediately out of the break from the free position. However, the Terriers scored four unanswered goals to put the game out of reach. INSIDE THE BOX & NOTES Emma Privitera made 13 saves in the contest. She improved her season save total to 17 in 90 minutes. With a pair of goals, Tuozzo pushes her total to three on the season, tying the team lead. Jessica Harrison and Montes scored a goal apiece in the loss Kailey Conry fueled BU's offense with a game-best nine points, scoring twice while adding five assists.
