Senior captain Keeley MacAfee matched a career high with six goals, first year Grace Hulslander had two goals and three assists, and sophomore Tessa Queri added three goals to help Harvard women's lacrosse (5-4, 1-1 Ivy League) earn an 18-8 win over Yale (4-4, 0-3 Ivy League). The win was Devon Wills' first Ivy victory as head coach of the Crimson, and Harvard's biggest win over the Bulldogs since 2015. Senior captain Nicole Baiocco had a goal and two assists, and both Marley Jenkins and Caroline Garrity notched a pair of goals for the Crimson. A closely contested first half saw Harvard hold a one goal edge at 5-4 thanks to three goals from MacAfee, the last of which came off a slick high-low feed from Baiocco with 3:23 to play to put the Crimson ahead for good. After the two teams traded goals to start the second half, Harvard went on an eight goal run to blow the game open, with Queri keying the separation with all three goals during that span. Her first score came on a free position shot at 25:47 to put Harvard up 7-5. After goals from Jenkins (24:34) and Hulslander (23:51) on free position shots, Queri took a pass from MacAfee from the top of the circle and beat the Yale goalkeeper at 23:08 to make it 10-5. Katie Muldoon (21:39), Madison Conklin (19:32) and Nicole Baiocco (free position shot, 17:21) scored their first goals of the contest before Queri closed out the run, corralling her own rebound for a quick shot and a goal at 16:31 to make it 14-5. Harvard had no trouble closing the game out from there, as the Crimson picked up its first Ancient Eight win of the season.
