A perfect afternoon for lacrosse got off to a perfect start for the Concordia University Chicago men's lacrosse team (1-5), but the game turned in the favor of the visiting Benedictine University Eagles (6-2), who emerged from Concordia Stadium with a 22-5 victory. Freshman midfielder Clayton Emery (Fishers, Ind.) gave the Cougars an early lead just 40 seconds into the game with his sixth goal of the season. He would later add his seventh in the game's final minute for the team's fifth goal. Sophomore midfielder Dylan Mordhorst (Centreville, Va.) also scored twice with the second coming off an impressive one-handed effort as he fell to the ground. The two tallies give Mordhorst 10 goals on the season, the first Cougar to reach double-figures in 2021. Freshman midfielder Jacob Schnepf (Baltimore, Md.) rounded out the scoring with his sixth goal. Senior goalie Jack Liskey (Crown Point, Ind.) continued to pile up saves in the Cougar net with 15 more today. He now has 580 saves in his career with Concordia. CUC men's lacrosse is back in action this Saturday in Madison, Wisconsin to take on the Edgewood College Eagles.
