GRANVILLE, Ohio- 14th ranked Denison cruised to a 29-2 victory over visiting Wabash College on Tuesday afternoon at Piper Stadium. Junior midfielder Camden Bowdy set a new Denison single-game record for assists with 12 and tied the single-game record for points. Bowdy posted seven assists in the first half and assisted on five of the Big Red's first six goals in the third quarter. The single-game assist record was 10 set by Paul Doty in 1967 against Michigan State and by Liam Rooney in 2017 against Wabash. Bowdy is the fourth player in Denison history to post 12 points in a single contest, joining Peter Pittroff (2018 – Illinois Wesleyan), Cory Couture (2012 - Mt. St. Joseph), and Victor Maddux (1997 – Oberlin). Ethan Tyack tallied seven points on four goals and three assists on five shot attempts. Luke Fisher, this week's NCAC Player of the Week, followed with six points (4g, 2a). Davis Cronin was 15-of-16 at the face-off dot. Overall, DU won 30-of-34 draws. Douglas Brooks scored a goal and led the defense with six ground balls. Denison outshot Wabash 61-12 and the Big Red were 3-of-4 in man-up opportunities. The Big Red also came close to breaking the team single-game record for ground balls as they finished two short at 59. DU will travel to Wabash on Saturday, April 10 for a 3 p.m. rematch with the Little Giants in Crawfordsville.
