Visiting Elmhurst scored as time expired in the third and then added four goals in the opening 6:40 of the fourth on the way to an 11-7 win over DePauw. The Tigers dropped to 0-6, while the Bluejays improved to 2-5. The teams were tied 2-2 after the first period with Elmhurst holding a 4-3 advantage at halftime. After the Bluejays scored midway through the third, the Tigers again closed to within one as Will Roberts scored with just under four seconds left in the quarter. Elmhurst's Nate Yuhas won the ensuing faceoff and scored as the horn sounded to give his team a 6-4 lead. The Bluejays scored 46 seconds into the fourth before pushing the lead to 10-4 on Andrew Frerich's score with 8:20 left. DePauw outscored the Bluejays, 3-1, in a four-minute stretch but that's as close as it would get. Quinn Roddy and Jack Richey each scored two for the Tigers with Will Roberts assisting on four, while Frerich and Cullen Nordeman each scored three for Elmhurst. Patrick Lawton had four of the Tigers' 21 ground balls, while Cole Speer caused four turnovers. Braden King led Elmhurst with four of its 29 ground balls. Lawton recorded 14 saves for the Tigers, while Jake Delgado had the same total for the Blue Jays. Elmhurst won 11 of the 20 faceoffs and collected 29 ground balls to the Tigers' 21. The Blue Jays totaled 20 turnovers with DePauw finishing with 15.
