SUNY Geneseo first-year attacker Brady Sullivan led the Knights in scoring with a career-high four goals to claim a non-conference victory over visiting Morrisville, 17-2, Tuesday afternoon. HOW IT HAPPENED Sophomore midfielder Sean Byrne tallied the Knights' first goal at the 13:51 mark in the first quarter, assisted by junior attacker James Pratt. The Knights went on to score seven-straight goals to open up the game, capped-off by a tally from first-year midfielder Liam Kassl. First-year attacker Nicholas Gonzalez converted an unassisted effort to put Geneseo up, 11-2, with 6:35 remaining in the half. The Knights held Morrisville scoreless over the rest of the half to take the nine-goal lead into the halftime break. Sophonmore midfielder Chris Martello found the back of the net twice during the second half of play, scoring in the opening minute at the 14:03 mark to extend the lead, 12-2, and scoring in the closing minute of action, a tally with 40 seconds left to give Geneseo its ultimate lead of the afternoon, 17-2. QUICK FACTS Senior goalie Bryce Kelly recorded eight saves in his first appearance of the 2020 campaign while starting goalkeeper senior Tyler Wetzel earned the win with one save in the first quarter. Junior attacker Tim Fallo dished off a game-high four assists while Pratt finished with two goals and three assists. First-year Christian Marcello Jr., Kassl, Gonzalez, and Sullivan all notched their first career goals for the Knights. Geneseo improves to 3-0, its best start to a season since 2017. WHAT'S NEXT?
