The Stony Brook men's lacrosse team has returned to the national rankings. The Seawolves have placed Cory VanGinhoven and Dylan Pallonetti on the Tewaaraton Award watch list. Most importantly, they continue to roll against America East competition. A dozen different players scored and the Stony Brook men's lacrosse team defeated host Hartford, 17-6, on Saturday afternoon. The Seawolves (6-3, 4-1 AE) have won four straight America East games since a four-overtime loss in the conference opener at UMBC. Tom Haun contributed a hat trick, while Matt DeMeo, Pallonetti and VanGinhoven had two goals apiece in Saturday's victory. Haun produced his third hat trick of the season. Anthony Palma made 11 saves before turning goaltending responsibilities over to Liam Daly late. Stony Brook blanked Hartford in the second quarter en route to a 10-2 halftime lead. "I thought we did a really good job of coming out with a lot of energy, excitement and good execution," coach Anthony Gilardi said. "We struggled a little in the third quarter, but responded well to close the game out in the fourth." The Seawolves return to action next Saturday at NJIT.
