Despite a phenomenal performance from Brian Corrigan in the net, the Red Foxes fell to #1 Maryland 13-7 Tuesday evening at Maryland Stadium. Summary Gannon Morrison got the Red Foxes on the board first scoring within the first two minutes of the game. The Terps responded by scoring two goals within thirty seconds to bring the score to 2-1. The Red Foxes took a time out after a successful clear attempt to try and tie things up. Mitchell Standera's shot was saved by Dan Morris and Maryland would score three more goals. With 1:03 left in the quarter, Jon Constant found the back of the next to bring the score to 5-2 at the end of the quarter. Maryland opened the second quarter scoring three goals in three and a half minutes to take an 8-2 lead. The defense started to buckle down, not allowing a goal from Maryland for over nine minutes. Corrigan kept the Red Foxes in the game, finishing the half with 12 saves. Marist went into the second half down 9-3. The Red Foxes held the Terps to just four points in the second half but were not able to score enough points to make up the deficit.
