NEWARK, Del. – Coastal Carolina used a strong second half Saturday afternoon to top the Blue Hens, 14-10, at Delaware Stadium.
Delaware (2-4) came out of the halftime break and immediately tied the game at 5-5, but the Chanticleers were able to build a six-goal lead before the Hens could recover.
Caroline Farley tied a career-high with eight draw controls, a mark good to tie for second in Delaware Stadium history and third in Hens single-game history. The senior also tied a career-high with three goals to go along with one ground ball.
Christine Long added two goals of her own while Mia DeRuggiero dished out a game-best four assists.
POST-GAME QUOTES
Head Coach Kateri Linville
"We didn't play to our full potential today. We didn't play disciplined and that correlates to our ability to be successful. I think we did what we could do in the home stretch to make some adjustments and put them under pressure, but we did it just a little too late."

• Caroline Farley moved into 10th place in program history with 79 career draw controls.
• Caroline Farley has tallied at least one point in all six games this season.
