Despite a huge advantage in shots on goal, Temple lacrosse was unable to convert on enough opportunities in a 7-4 loss to visiting Delaware (1-0) in the season opener for both teams. Keys to the Game > The Owls (0-1) had 24 shots on goal to the Blue Hens' 13, but Delaware goalkeeper Kate Brewster made 20 saves to frustrate Temple for most of the game. > Temple held Delaware scoreless in the second half, but was only able to get one goal closer after trailing 7-3 at halftime. > Draw controls hurt the Owls in the first half, with Delaware getting eight to Temple's three. "I was really proud of the defensive effort of our attack all the way back to our goalie. We caused a ton of turnovers in transition and really tightened play up and gave ourselves opportunities.
