ELKINS, W.v. - The Lake Erie College men's lacrosse team was in action today as they were victorious over Davis and Elkins, 17-4. With the win the Storm improves to 4-0 in conference play. The Senators jumped out to an early 3-0 as they scored the first three goals of the game. The Storm got on the scoreboard with just under four minutes remaining in the quarter when Edmond Renaud (Carlisle, Ont. / Waterdown District / Pfeiffer) scored off an assist from Connor Ward (Clarkston, Mich. / Clarkston). The Storm continued to cut into the lead when Ward found the back of the net off an assist from Brandon Donohue (South Buffalo, N.Y. / Bishop Timon St. Jude). Lake Erie tied the game with a third straight goal as Austin Bishop (Hamburg, N.Y. / Hamburg) found the back of the net. The Storm took the lead with one second remaining in the quarter and entered the second quarter ahead, 4-3. The Storm momentum carried over to the second quarter as they made the score 5-3 when Nicholas Tshcetter (Hilton, N.Y. / Aquanis Institute) scored off a feed from Ward. Lake Erie continued to pull away when Mitchell Stokes (New Westminster, B.C. / New Westminster Secondary) scored a man up goal that was assisted by Renaud with just over eight minutes remaining in the half. The Storm tacked on a seventh straight goal when Ward scored off a feed from James Chadwick (Amherst, N.Y. / Amherst Central). The Storm took an 8-3 lead when Bishop scored his second goal of the game off an assist from Stokes. The Storm came out of the locker room ready to play as they scored about a minute into the quarter when Tim Bay (Canadaigua, N.Y. / Canadaigua Academy) scored off a feed from Donohue. Lake Erie continued to dominate as Bishop found the back of the net of an assist from Renaud, to make the score 10-3 in favor of the Storm. Renaud gave the Storm an eight goal lead when he found the back of the net off a feed from T. Bay. The Senators cut into the Storm run with a goal to make the score 11-4 in favor of the Storm. Lake Erie tacked on a pair of goals at the end of the third quarter as Renaud and T. Bay scored for the Storm. Lake Erie entered the fourth quarter ahead, 13-4. The Storm's dominance continued in the fourth as they held the Senators scoreless. Lake Erie added four goals in the fourth quarter. The goals were scored by Nathan Quinn (Hamburg, N.Y. / Bishop Timon St. Jude) as he had three in the quarter, and Jacob DesRosier (Brighton, Mich. / Brighton). Lake Erie won the game, 17-4. The Storm was led by Bishop as he had a team high three goals in the game, and also had a pair of groundballs. Renaud added three goals and a pair of assists for the Storm while also picking up a pair of groundballs.
