Stetson's Marina Rotella set a school record for goals in a season but not much else went right for the Hatters as they closed out their 2019 season with a 22-3 loss to ASUN Conference leader Jacksonville, Sunday at the Athletic Training Center in DeLand. Rotella scored her 43rd goal of the season less than two minutes into the game, breaking a tie with Taylor Patrizi who set the previous record in 2017. It was Rotella's only score of the game. In a bit of a surprising start for Stetson, Rotella's goal was followed by a score from Sarah Flatt as the Hatters (4-13 overall, 2-4 ASUN) jumped to an early 2-0 lead. But Jacksonville (14-3, 6-0) responded by scoring 14 unanswered goals. Stetson's final goal came from Jacklyn Lavoie early in the second half. Jacksonville's Jenny Kinsey led all players with six goals. Senior Shelby Lehmann finished the game with a pair of assists, giving her program record-tying 40 for the season (tied with teammate Riley Reagan). Lehmann also finishes her career with 168 points, tying her for the top spot in program history.
