No. 1 Stony Brook women's lacrosse celebrated Senior Day in successful fashion on Sunday afternoon at LaValle Stadium, cruising past New Hampshire, 20-6, in conference action. With the win, the Seawolves improve to 14-0 (5-0 AE) so far in 2018. Stony Brook tallied a season-high 17 assists – adding a helper on all 17 non-free position scores in the contest. The Seawolves' also tallied a season-best 25 draw control wins. QUOTING HEAD COACH Joe Spallina "This was an emotional day, celebrating the most decorated class in the history of our program… I thought we took care of business and did what we had to do. We assisted on 17 of 20 goals, and that's who are. We're a team that likes to share, a team that lives on those assists. Overall, I think it was an outstanding week for our program and for our kids, especially our seniors." HIGHLIGHTS Kylie Ohlmiller (Islip, N.Y.) recorded 10 more points on three goals and seven assists – her fifth game with a double-digit point total this season. Ohlmiller now has 224 goals and 220 assists for 444 career points, needing just two points and five assists to break both NCAA Division I individual career records. Courtney Murphy (Shirley, N.Y.) added seven points of her own, including six more goals. Murphy became the first player in NCAA Division I history to tally 300 career goals. Carolyn Carrera (Riverhead, N.Y.) won 12 draw controls – the most she's won in a single game in her collegiate career. DiSalvo added seven wins of her own in the circle. Taryn Ohlmiller (Islip, N.Y.) added five points (four goals, one assist), recording her 10th game of the season with five or more points. Ally Kennedy (North Babylon, N.Y.) scored three time with one helper for four total points, Samantha DiSalvo (Lynbrook, N.Y.) chipped in with three assists, and Kasey Mitchell (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) added one goal and one assist for her first multi-point contest of 2018. Emma Schait (Seaford, N.Y.), Tiffany Zullo (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and Brooke Gubitosi (East Northport, N.Y.) all scored once, and Mackenzie Burns (West Sayville, N.Y.), Rayna Sabella (Mount Sinai, N.Y.) and Rebecca Kinsley (Manhasset,N.Y.) all chipped in with an assist in the victory. With the win, Stony Brook remains one of only two undefeated Division I teams. The Seawolves are now 12-7 all-time vs. UNH.
