In their second match in as many day, Oberlin College men's lacrosse dropped their Sunday afternoon matchup with Baldwin Wallace University, 18-5. After trading goals in the opening 5:20, the Yellow Jackets found the key to unlocking the Oberlin defense. BW netted the game's initial goal, and it was Jack Fabrizio answering for the Yeomen. With the game locked at a goal a piece, the Yellow Jackets rattled home five unanswered scores. Eric Hager snapped in his second goal of the year to stop the bleeding with 53-second remaining in the first quarter. Baldwin Wallace extended the Yeomen's deficit to 9-2 by opening the second quarter with three more unanswered goals before Reese Koburov snuck another shot past Mike Dizonno in the BW net to end the scoring run. Two more Yellow Jacket goal pushed the scoreline to 11-3 at the halftime break. Out of the intermission, the Yellow Jackets flung three more goals past first-year goalie Calvin Filson to move the differential to 14-3 with 2:26 remaining in the third quarter. Fabrizio tallied his second of the game and campaign before with a little over 5-minutes left in the frame. Following two more BW scores, Steve Kelleher capitalized on a man-up advantage to draw the scoreline at 16-5 heading into the fourth quarter. The Yellow Jackets added a pair of goals in the fourth quarter to close proceedings inside of the Krenzler Dome on the campus of Cleveland State University. Fabrizio's two goals led the Yeomen in the Sunday afternoon battle followed by the trio of Korburov, Hager and Kelleher. Kelleher's man-up goal mark his team-best third of the year. Though he had a tough day in net, Filson finished with 11 saves marking a new single-game career-high and pushing his season total to 20. On the faceoff, senior captain Kinori Rosnow took 17-of-26 faceoff battles from his counterparts en route to collecting a team-high 11 ground balls. Filson followed by scooping up three groundballs followed by a quintet of Yeomen with two.
